Hi!
A friend needs a program that will effectively block out
a LaserWriter in an AppleTalk zone from other users who might try
to access it from other zones. He knows this goes against Apple's
open network plans but in this instance the user is frightened that
the LaserWriter will be used by unauthorized people.
He has tried LaserLockout but that requires that all people
on the network have it already installed in their system folders which
would be impractical and impossible to enforce. He suggested that
the password in the LaserWriter could be changed and the LaserWriter
prep files for the people in the zone in question could be changed
correspondingly but I don't know anything about this.
Any suggestions, either PD or commerical would be gladly accepted
and passed along.
Thanks in advance,
Terry.
