One of the minicomputers we work with (a DG eclipse) speaks FORTRAN and little else. We need to be able to transfer files bidirectionally with a system running UNIX. Of course, on the UNIX side there is no language constraint, and it seems reasonable to try and use one of the existing transfer programs (unix-unix, unix-cpm, etc). Any suggestions? There is a FORTRAN version of Kermit being written for Cyber systems which should be finished very soon. Contact Frank daCruz (sp?) at Columbia University for more information. Jim Knutson knutson@utexas-11.ARPA p.s. Frank's Arpa address is fdc@columbia-20.ARPA
