i am in the market for a 1200 baud modem. i have used a Hayes 300 and enjoy it very much. i am very tempted to obtain a Hayes 1200 buy i also want the following: dial tone detect, busy detect, voice detect (nice but not needed) i would prefer a modem to which UNIX drivers are common. i enjoy the LED indicators, command/transmit mode setup, and the amount of user configurable options available on the hayes 300. if i went to another modem i would want to see similar things. (i dont want to pay much more than a Hayes 1200 either (i.e., <=$500) if you feel such items exist, could you please mail me the following: 1) modem name and list price 2) address and cheep price for a mail order version 3) 300 and 1200 baud? 4) does it adjust its parity/baud in relation to the terminal? 5) compare it to (or just describe) it to the Hayes 1200? 6) switch settings, on line configurations, LED indicators, speaker? 7) auto answer? auto dial? busy detect? voice detect? dialtone detect? 8) ease of use and misfeatures chongo /\../\
