Like net.nlang.india, I suggest that a net.nlang.espanol be created. This group would be similar to net.nlang.india in that all facets of life and culture could be explored through this net. I refrain from suggesting net.nlang.latin since other than having Latin as a distant ancestor, these languages (and especially the people) have not much in common. The following are descended from Latin: Romansque, Italian, French, Catalan, Gallego, Romanian, Portuguese, and Spanish (Castilian); and are still spoken today. Truely these people cannot easily find a medium. Using, hispanic would seem to exclude those from Spain. Using the word spanish seems to imply Spain. Using espanol (the Spanish word for Spanish), may be acceptable and may accomodate both groups. Music, language, politics, cooking, traditions and tv are among the many topics that this net could entertain along with literature and art. Sunil Trivedi {Viva net.nlang.espanol!}
