Well... VMS Mail 4 does support distribution lists...
Check the VMS mail manual, Page MAIL-12.
However, it doesn't support the other features at all. Store & Forward seems
to be a DECnet problem, after all... DECnet doesn't use Store & Forward for
file transfer, why should it do it for anything else ?
(Commercial products, like JNET cure this problem in a snap...)
I suppose asking DEC for Store & Forward DECnet would be nice.
Bulletin Boards within mail don't seem to work since the default protection
for a MAIL.MAI file is S:RW,O:RW. Even if you set protection on the file
to something else, the external files (The ones starting with MAIL$nnnnnn...)
are created with the same protection. Perhaps you could override that with
an ACL... hmm...
The various mail facilities on BITNET spoiled me I suspect... I wish I had 'em
here...
