Dear All, I'd like to know if anyone is running DEC's implementation of the Graphics Kernel System (Vax GKS V2.0). We have been using this software for several months now. A few bugs have been encountered but the implementation appears to be sound in most respects. An area of common interest is (inevitably) the development of device drivers for graphics terminals or plotters not supported by DEC. Does anyone have or plan to implement drivers? I'm particularly interested in knowing if anyone has a driver for Tektronix 4010 or 4100 series terminals. Please consider this note as just a smile, a 'hello', and a wave of the hand. We are running GKS, but not doing much with it. We have two old HP 7221A plotters, several HP 7475A's, and some DEC GIGI's. With luck, I won't have to write a 7221 device driver for GKS, since they will wither away in a year and a half. We'll put your name in our list of sources of info about GKS. Thanks. Jeff Bangert BITNET: JEFF@UKANVM Academic Computing Services Phone: 913 864 4291 University of Kansas Lawrence, KS 66045
