[comp.os.vms] Getting Load Indicators

Keywords:  Performance Indicators, Load Indicators, F$GETSYI, DCL

I am trying to find some basic load indicators on a system from DCL.

I don't see much in F$GETSYI that would help, or am I overlooking it?
I am interested in things like:
    % CPU IDLE
    PAGE FAULT RATE
    HARD PAGE FAULT RATE
    I/O OPERATIONS RATE
    % MEMORY USED
    NUMBER OF PROCESSES (INTERACTIVE and BATCH)
etc..

Anyone know where to get at these easily?  I would be willing to switch
languages if it's easier to get at from MACRO or PASCAL or FORTRAN or C.

PS: going into MONITOR/RECORD for a while, exiting, and reading the RECORD file
    is *not* "easy".  It's also not elegant.
