        I am sending this note ...

                To: info_vax

        Before getting into mail I issued ...

                $ ASSIGN info_vax "ARPA%""info-vax@sri-kl.ARPA"""

        Usually for BITNET friends I do

                $ ASSIGN friend's-name "JNET%""UserID@Node"""

        It took a little experimenting, but if you think about it, it makes
        sense.
