[comp.os.vms] SNAP distribution difficulties

graham@DRCVAX.ARPA.UUCP (05/26/87)

Greetings,

Many of you responded to me and requested the SNAP program source kit. I
have sent out all but a couple of the kits, those who haven't received,
please be patient, and read further. There are five username/address
combinations that my mailer rejects outright. They are:

    SYNFUL@DRYCAS.CLUB.CC.CMU.EDU
    PAVER@MAXIMILLION.CP.MCC.COM

The above two nodes do not appear in the most recent HOSTS table. If those
requesting SNAP from those nodes will help me with a better address, or an
actual numerical address, I'll send the kits out pronto.

    RBROOKS.SEINE77@MIT-MULTICS.ARPA
    ABSTINE%CLVMS.BITNET@WISCVM.WISC.EDU
    DIETRICH.EOSP_SRC@HI-MULTICS.ARPA

On these three, my mailer log file tells me that there is a directory or
routing difficulty at the host ARPA node. Again, if these people will
provide me with a better address, I'll ship off the kit a.s.a.p.

I'm really sorry about those above five. I'm also sorry it has taken so
long to get out the ones that are distributed. We have had very bad lock
with our IMP connection lately.

Have fun SNAPping.

Hackito, ergo sum.
