I'd like to vote in favor of the digest format. I'm tired of getting multiple messages and duplicates. In addition, I frequently get responses to questions before the questions; hard to follow! John Child

The obvious solution here is to have two mailing lists: INFO-VAX and INFO-VAX-DIGEST. The real question is whether or not the list maintainers want to do the work of maintaining two lists, and of building the digests (or is this done automatically?) Peter -------

(reluctantly joins debate .....); I actually enjoyed receiving things in digest format - I did an EXTRACT/TT: on each digest and read it in full, without MAILs pagination. However, when I subsequently wanted to file parts of it, or reply to parts of it, or delete parts of it, life became just too difficult. Therefore, on balance, NOT digest format, please. P.S. re: message duplication - there were even duplicates of a message _within_ a digest (on more than one occasion), so I don't accept the existence of duplicate non-digest format messages as a reason for moving to digests. ** Phil.
