Actually, if you had read all of the paperwork that came with the C 2.3 release, you would have seen that the "Read Before Installing" letter gives the required version number for VMS so you don't need the release notes for this. However, in this case, none of it would have done much good. The letter specifies VMS version 4.2 or later! If DEC's support people are right that 4.6 is required, then somebody told the SDC the wrong thing.
