We just started fooling with System 20/20 here recently... and do not have a manual. (The office I work for is part of the Research Institute here, NOT the computer center. Thus we don't always get the full documentation, or whatever.) Anyway, this may not be what you want, but it's the best I've been able to get 20/20 to do. Don't use the 123 workseet. Tell lotus to export the file. Lotus does it's ASCII delimited thing, and produces a file with each column entry seperated by a comma, and text strings in quotes. Now feed that to System 20/20 but first tell 20/20 that it's getting that kind of file. /SIDL (Storage Import Data Layout). I think that's the right menu. Tell it you want Record terminator to be <CR>, field seperator to be ",", and that double quotes surround your text strings. Then /SIDD (Storage Import Data Delimited). It asks for the filename and then it cooks. Oh, if it's a BIG file, you may have to increase the memory which it uses for the workseet. I had to do that once, but I forget the procedure right at the moment. Except it was pretty simple. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Cole <Flatline> KJCOLE@GALLUA.BITNET Center for Assessment and Demographic Studies (CADS) CADS_COLE@GALLUA.BITNET Gallaudet Research Institute (GRI) Gallaudet University Washington, D.C. 20002 (202) 651-5575
