I have been reading comp.os.vms for three months now. During this time I have seen many references to "The info-vax mailing list" and various arcane related subjects. I have yet to see any description of what it is. I have a few dumb questions: What is it? Just a normal mailing list? Are all "postings" to info-vax also sent to comp.os.vms, and vice-versa? Why have both a mailing list and a newsgroup? Why isn't it included in the list of publicly available mailing lists? How does one request to be put on the list, and how does one "post" to it?
