Can anyone give the name and approximate cost for a piar
of 4800 baud modems suitable for using over the vanilla
switched telephone network?  thanks!

These are ONE end prices, but they do work (mostly).
I have one at my home in Oakland, and call into Palo Alto,
and it mostly works.
