Subject: RE: Causes For A Process To Go From Just a comment on on Paul Clayton's F.Y.I.: At a recent Internals class, the instructor was heard to comment that the version 4 internals manual was scheduled to be released at about the same time that version 5.0 hits our mail bins. Version 5.0 is rumoured to have a revamped Executive mode that will render user written system services unusable (until rewritten). Version 5 was supposed to have been bundled with 4.6 (where has that gone to?) but had so many problems that it is scheduled to be released with 4.7. I hear that 5.1 is already in Beta test. 4.6 should have been released a few weeks ago, but was delayed because of some problems (you may have noticed the early release of the latest version of "C"). Has anyone out there received 4.6 yet? Any good news? Dave Higham
