Does anyone know... If the uVAX that manages the console system can also run other things ? If the uVAX can act as the console for non-clustered machines ? What problems are there of doing either of the above ? What problems, if any, are there with the console system ? (any "GOTCHAs" ?) Thanks ! Its been a while sine I used one while I was at DEC but I believe that the uVAX used for the console can run other applications. The connections from the console system to the remote host use the standard serial ports and optical cabling.
