I have tested the NEC 0-300/1200/2400 baud modem at the 2400 baud setting using vi. It worked fine. However, the turtles at my company are balking at their purchase. If anyone has tried any other brands, please respond. The price of the NEC is: Rack mount - $588 Smartmodem - $800 appox.
