The following is a message I was sending to a JANET address, in fact a
reply to the sender. It got bounced locally.
I thought I would include the text to illustrate the type of addressing
problem we experience with with JANET sites.
(this should not start a mail chain in the vms list, please address

We have been using a different addressing scheme to reach JANET sites from
Bitnet:
user%uk.ac.open.acs.vax@ukacrl
for example, and it has worked well for us. Since I did not see this
gateway in the original message, I wonder whether I should switch to
one of those that are listed?
