Is anyone running VMS 4.x and Strategic Information's ARCHIVER v1.8 as software, and Cipher 891 or 990 tape drives with Emulex TC13 tape controller as hardware? Our tape drives seem to work fine except with ARCHIVER. We get too many "fatal drive errors" and cannot always restore our files. Would you blame hardware or software? What is your experience?
