One generic address that probably would be willing to send you their public protocol documentation (Xerox System Integration Standard) is: Xerox Corporation Office Products Division Network Systems Administration Office 3333 Coyote Hill Road Palo Alto, California 94304 The document "Internet Transport Protocols" contains packet format information and some short lists of well-known socket numbers.
