After running for 2-3 weeks without problems, out VAX 8600 (VMS 4.5)
tends to hang or crash. Subsequent SYSDUMP analysis shows that it is
out of UNIBUS MAPPING REGISTERS. Of course, we use a lot of self-written
device drivers, but could not find any culprit.
So for the question: did anyone else observe this phenomenon?
is there a VMS driver which may eat up registers
(I remember XG was mentioned as faulty some
time ago on this list).
any hints on spotting a faulty driver?
