Well, I'll have to eat my words. In my last posting, I thanked all who reaponded about the VAX to phone question, and stated that I was going to get the VAXNET program from DECUS. Little did I know the trouble I was in for. It seems that there was a big political fight here just before I came about VAXNET. The supervisor of technical services will not allow any DECUS tape to be ordered if it has VAXNET on it. He doesn't care if it's called something different, just so long as it isn't called VAXNET. This means I can't easily get it from DECUS. Is there anyone who has the newest version, (v12), on a system which would allow me to ftp it?? Thanks much, Dan Graham GRAHAM@DRCVAX.ARPA ------

mr. Graham is having trouble getting VAXnet... Try ordering the Spring 1987 VAX SIG tapes. Vaxnet V12 is there. I got it from the library and PUT it there. It IS V12 and works well. And the library item is NOT called VAXnet. (You get to rename it if you like). There are of course half a zillion other goodies on the tape too... Glenn Everhart

It would make my like simpler if I could get VAXNET over the net, too.
Unfortunately, I'm not on arpanet, so I can't ftp it. Would it be reasonable
to send it via mail? Should anyone do so, I would much appreciate it.
