Has anyone ran into the following problem, or have any ideas relating to it. We have an application that is running inconsistently: the program will send a character string down to the graphics terminal and expect a specific character string back. Often times, this character string comes back garbaged. The terminal should receive/respond with the same character string every time. Our system is an 8700 accessed through Decserver 200/MC terminal servers. We can also access it through hardline to the VMZ32 or DMB32 boards. We get the following results: Decserver ---> 8700 = Application works intermittently VMZ32 ---> 8700 = Application works intermittently DMB32 ---> 8700 = Application works every time To those of you with 8700's, have you run into anything like this, or ANY unusual problems (especially communication) with the 8700 and the BI bus. We have encountered no problems with this application on MicroVaxes and 780's. Everett Mitchell VMS System Support DS 50/454 Tektronix, Inc. P.O.
