I read somewhere about a package that makes an IBM look like a DECNET node... anybody know about this? Failing that, is there any knowledge about sending mail to an IBM3033 (other than using coloured book software) (anybody know why CBS isn't available in the states?) Thanks Brian Williams (address above)

Sender:hplabs!well!rshuford The product you seek is called Interlink. This allows an IBM mainframe to connect to DECnet. IBM also sells some kind of TCP/IP for its mainframes, and there is also available the IBM 7170 Device Attachmet Control Unit, which connects an IBM mainframe channel to the DEC Unibus. (This unit was demonstrated by IBM at the Nashville DEXPO. Yup, there in the IBM booth at DEXPO was a VAX-11/750. With a little sign saying "IBM does not endorse use of this equipment.") .....Richard S. Shuford, Siecor Corp. RD&E, Hickory, NC 28603-0489 BIX: richard ||| hplabs!well!rshuford
