I'm looking for something better than the MAIL utility supplied with VMS. Basically, the problem is that VMS MAIL isn't designed to handle Internet-style messages. For those of us who get more network mail than anything else, the lack of a good user interfact to non-DEC networks is a constant annoyance. What we need is an alternative mail program which can coexist with VMS MAIL on the same system, since some of our users will not want to adapt. We are running JNET, WIN/TCP 3.0, and PMDF, so it needs to work with these as well. If anyone knows of such a beast, I'd like to hear about it. Please send replies to me. I'll send a summary of the results to anyone who asks. Thanks, Keith Moore UT Computer Science Dept.
