Does anyone know if it is possible to find out how many BYTES a network job uses? If you are charged by the byte (as on an x25 network) buffered i/o figures arent very helpful Thanks Brian (address above)

If you turn on USER message accounting, PSI will log (for any sessions started with the SET HOST/X29 command) the information you want. You then have to use the ACCOUNTING utilility (or something like it) to extract the PSI records from your system's accounting file. Then consult the PSI manuals for info on the structure of its accounting records, and interpret them yourself. I was once well on the way toward writing such a utility, but then the powers that be here decided everything would be done via Coloured Books software, and they already had accounting procedures for that.
