I have two unrelated questions: 1) Is there any way I can restrict someone from stacking up jobs in a particular queue? I have two VAX 11/780's in a homogeneous cluster, with a number of batch queues. In particular, each VAX has a NIGHT queue with unlimited CPU time, and a generic NIGHT queue tied to each. Every now and then, someone stacks jobs up in the NIGHT queue, and no one else can get in. Any ideas? 2) I have a DF112 modem hooked to one of my VAXes. I'd like to be able to dial out with SET HOST/DTE/DIAL=..., but it doesn't seem to work. If I hook a termial directly to the modem, I can dial out using the modem commands, but if I hook the modem to the VAX and try to set host, I get a device timeout. However, the lights on the modem come on, and it looks like its dialing and receiving a carrier. I have the modem connected to a DMF32 port with modem control, and the terminal characteristics are set for a modem. I turned off autobaud on both my terminal line and the modem line, and still no go. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Tom Williams vtcf@ncsc.arpa
