We have an application for archival storage of a reasonably large volume (greater than 10 Gbytes) of data obtained while monitoring a chemical pilot plant. Currently this data is stored on tape; managing this is getting to be too much of a chore. The data is recorded, processed and then archived. It is only used again when doing checks on reproducibility and/or troubleshooting of the properties of materials made in each batch. The data can be broken up into "chunks" of less than 300 MB to simplify data organization. Can anyone recommend a WORM data storage system (drive (s), Unibus interface and software for VMS), preferably using a 5.25 or 8 inch disk format, which could be used in this application? Any leads will be appreciated. Mike Hopper ............ Hopper.XRCC-NS@XEROX.COM
