Surprise!  Digital has the solution...  They just announced a box (I
saw some information on it but have lost it) which connects between
the Ethernet controllers and the H4000 tap.  Up to 4 systems can
be connected to this box.  The box encrypts the Ethernet messages
using the DES algorithm.  Of course, any systems you talk to must
then have the equivalent box with the SAME key(s) loaded into it.

I believe the Digital article also mentioned somehting about key
management software or something like that.  Talk to your sales rep.
I think this was part of the myriad of things announced at DECWorld
(and I've lost the information with the order numbers, etc.).
