Is there such a thing as a public domain 3270 emulation software? We are currently interested in such a thing, just in order to find out what a 3270 is supposed to do (new to the I*M world). Since we'll eventually have a gateway, I would also welcome any comments about DEC's product. W.J.Moeller, GWDG, D-3400 Goettingen, F.R.Germany <GWD21T@DGOGWD01> Phone +49 551 201516

Take a look at Greg Minshall's tn3270 from UC-Berkeley. It's available via anonymous ftp to host arpa.berkeley.edu. Retrieve, in binary mode, either: pub/tn3270.tar or pub/tm3270.tar.Z Warning these are large files - 300kb of data. You can also send $100 and get a diskette or tape. It's not public domain (it's copyright UCB) but it is free (if you ftp).
