We are currently running v6.0 of CMU's TCP/IP on an 11/750 running VMS 4.5 Things work fine for a while, but then something strangs happens. It seems as if TCP/IP gets into a weird state which causes telnet/ftp to slow down making connections almost impossible, but it also affects DECnet in a similar way. I assume that DECnet is affected because TCP/IP does something to the deuna (other DECnet connections which don't use the ethernet seem fine). DECnet is not affected between any of the other machines in the cluster just to and from the one running TCP/IP. We have checked hardware, and have pretty much determined that it is the TCP/IP software. I should also mention that restarting the daemon doesn't help. The only thing that seems to work is a reboot. Any ideas/comments? We are ordering the new version from CMU. thanks in advance, jim rozboril vms system manager univ. of denver 303-871-3867
