Greetings---
I am attempting to test the speed of a DDCMP sync line that runs
out over a leased line to a very large DECnet network. I have a
u-Vax-II, V.4.6 of VMS, the u-Vax has both a DEQNA (attached to an
internal DECnet environment) and a DMV11 that is attached to a sync
modem running at 14.4 kb. The u-Vax is an area router.
I use the Utility DTS/DTR for tests over the ethernet to run
connect, data and interrupt tests to remote nodes, BUT, when I try it
over the DDCMP line, it bombs!! What I get back is
Failure, NSP reason #22 (or something similar)
I have scoured the manuals for DTS/DTR, NCP, Guide to Networking,
NSP Functional Specification etc., but I can't find out what NSP reason
#22 is. I should mention that the DDCMP Line and Circuit parameters
are the default values at both ends. The remote end terminates in a
DECSA with a standard sync card.
Can anybody offer advice?? (reason #22, and how to test the speed of a
DDCMP line) Thanx--
