I've recently been checking out the modems at our site to see what actually works and what doesn't. There is a Racal-Vadic VA3451 with a label on it that indicates that it has autodial capability but no documentation to describe how that feature works. From the records I could find at our establishment this modem originally did not have auto-dial capability but it was added later when the unit went to the factory for other repairs. Looking at the insides it does appear that a major unit was added so I'm convinced I really have the feature. I just don't know how to access it. If anybody has any info would you be kind enough to mail it to me? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Norm Pritchett - The Generic Hacker UUCP: ...!cbosgd!osu-eddie!pritch BITNET: TS0017@OHSTVMA

They have two modes of autodial. One is you type ^E and it says "Hello, I'm Ready" and then you type D and the number (I think), and the other you type "^A" then it says B and you type "^Bnumber^C" and it comes back and says A if it works and B if it doesn't. Nothing is echoed.
