Does anyone know how to determine the number of bytes which may be read from a socket using the QIO interface to Wollongong's VMS TCP package? I am looking for something like the FIONREAD ioctl() call found in some versions of Unix, which tells you the number of bytes which may be read without actually having to read them. I am (apparently) using version 2.2 of the Wollongong software and version 4.5 of VMS. Jay Olson a consultant working at GE Calma San Diego, CA ...sdcsvax!calmasd!jjo jjo@calmasd.GE.COM
