Is anyone using (or ever heard of) VS-11 terminals and can say FOR SURE what the distance limitation is from the CPU to the terminal ? (We have 30 foot cables on them now and would like to extend them to 60 feet...) Thanks. ah yes, the vs-11..... the only time digital ever produced a real unibus to qbus convertor....I have one it my 11/44 and it is wonderful to explain to field service how I am having problems with the qbus in my 11/44 - and have them say that they only support dec equipment, and then explain to them that it IS dec equipment. but I digress.... simply match the coax with the same type (be very careful about the impedance it thought it was 75 ohms) and it will work out to about 70-80 feet (at least it did for us) -ed cetron@cs.utah.edu

I had one for a while at ly mast job - shudder. Although DEC claimed, I belive 50ft, we had a 75ft cable and it worked. Good luck, (By the way - fyi - we tried to give it away once, and we couldn't find anyone who would take it - ah - those were the days.) / Sid /
