(This is a reposting of a message sent over 2 weeks ago which I never saw and to which I received no responses. My apologies if you are seeing it again.) We are trying to write a program which will test for the CAPTIVE flag on each account that logs in, and take action depending on whether or not it is set. For this we need the $UAIDEF module as described in the system services manual under $getuai. However we can't find it on any of our 4.4 or 4.5 systems in any of the sys$library:*.tlb files. Should it be there? For security reasons are we supposed to look for it or retrieve it from somewhere else? Does anyone have the values of the flags from which we can make our own $UAIDEF include file? Help on this would be most appreciated, as at the moment we are restricted to checking the account name, which is fine while we only have a couple of captive accounts, but rapidly becomes unwieldy if we have more. Thanks in advance. If you feel reluctant to post a reply to the list, please send it directly to SYSTEM@UTORPHYS (BITNET). Ruth Milner Systems Manager University of Toronto Physics P.S. The sessions are almost all full (only 1/2 dozen out of more than 200 are still empty) and there are some really good ones being presented.
