[comp.os.vms] VI written in TPU information

gregg@a.cs.okstate.edu (Gregg Wonderly) (12/07/87)

A month or so ago, I distributed a emulation of the VI (from UNIX) editor
to this newsgroup. Shortly after that, I established a mailing list, and
a requests alias for interested parties to contact me through. I now have
approximately 50 names on the mailing list, and am preparing to distribute
an updated copy of VI to the addresses on that list.

Apparently, the flat name space of BITNET has kept several people from
routing mail to me because my machine was not known in their tables. I am
going to set up aliases on the machine, a.cs.okstate.edu, that should
solve this problem. Those of you who tried to send me mail/requests, but
got them back, should try again. I would prefer the use of the addresses
associated with the host, nemo.math.okstate.edu, but if your mailer can not
find that host, then you will have to use the host, a.cs.okstate.edu. The
new addresses are:

vi-req@a.cs.okstate.edu For requests to be added to the info-vi list,
                                or for requests to me.

info-vi@a.cs.okstate.edu For bug reports or other information that is
worthy of being sent to the list.

If you are interested in receiving the update, or need other information,
please send your requests to the vi-req address.

Thanks for all the kind words and your patience...
