[comp.os.vms] Ethernetting IBM PC's and DEC

MARCHANYRC@VTMATH.BITNET (RANDY MARCHANY) (12/14/87)

We have approx. 200 IBM PC (XT, AT, PS/2), 10 microvax II, 11/785 here
at our site. Current plans are to connect these machines on a thinwire
Ethernet. I am currently looking at some software products that will
let me use the PC's in an Ethernet environment. Do anyone out there have
any experience with the following products or systems?
        -Logicraft, Inc. CARDWARE, 386-WARE
        - DEC's MESSAGE ROUTER/S GATEWAY
        - DEC's MESSAGE ROUTER X.400 GATEWAY
        - DEC's OSI TRANSPORT SERVICE (V1.2), OSI APPLICATIONS KERNEL(v1.0)
        - DEC's PC NETWORK INTEGRATION PACKAGE
        - DEC's VAX/VMS SERVICES FOR MS-DOS
        - DEC's DECnet DOS
We have installed Excelan's EXOS board on one of our 785's but any info
on TCPIP products for the PC's would be appreciated. I'm especially interested
in the VAX/VMS SERVICES for MS-DOS product. Please respond to me directly
and I will summarize the responses for the list. Thanks.
