I am currently using DEC's FMS package on a team project for a Software Engineering course, but am having some difficulty getting UARs (User Action Routines) to work. I'm writing in COBOL, not my best language but quasi-required for this project. The "sample application" program supplied by DEC in the FMS docu- mentation seems to be able to do what I'd like to, but I don't want to lift it directly, for many reasons; I've tried to emulate the format and organi- zation of the example, however, without success results. If anyone in net-land has any useful experience with FMS and/or variable scoping, passing, and included-vs-non-included subprogram modules in Vax COBOL, I'd very much appreciate hearing from you; a dialogue would probably ensue.
