The install leads you thru updating the console hard disk. (Actually, this in the "after the upgrade" part of the paper document, so don't miss it!) You will need a scratch RX50 floppy. For the record, my V4.7 kit arrived, and installed with no obvious problems yet. It looks very maintenancey. I do not have LAVC, which seem to be heavily addressed by the update, so I can't tell you if it fixes whatever it is supposed to fix.
