Hi, We have a little problem here and i was wondering if any one else has encountered it and a fix around it. We have a growing network here based around 2 VAX785's in a cluster, with about 20 microvax's and 30 Pc's. Connected in various places on the network we have a bunch of DecServers (100's + 200's). One of our 200's is set up with 7 lines to our corporate information network (AT+T ISN). We have 5 lines going in and 2 lines comming out. We set up a service on the DecServers so from any Decserver one do a CONNECT ISN and be connected to an outgoing port (works great). Then we set up on the vax side LTA1 to be defined as the service on the DecServer. So from the vax we can do a SET HOST/DTE LTA1 and get connected to an outgoing port. The problem though is that a couple of minutes after the connection is made the isn/decserver has a problem and dtr is dropped disconnecting the line. This only happens when connecting through the vax. I talked to DEC and got the answer that the DECSERVER/VAX link isnt supported. great. Understandably we can still get to the decserver from ncp but we cant use kermit (the whole point of this exercise). Well does anyone have any ideas on a fix for this (or even why it is happening). Thank you. +------------------------------+----------------------------------------+ | S.
