One thing to do would be to make the VS-2000's diskless workstation nodes
of a LAVC then mount their disks and do a backup/image from the boot node
to the local disk on the VS-2000.  That would make the disk bootable.  You
then boot it in conversational mode from the local disk and keep it from
becoming a cluster member.
