[comp.os.vms] LIB$SIM_TRAP undefined when linking

DEAN@LOVAGE.PSY.CMU.EDU (01/21/88)

I have a problem which appeared with V4.6. When I link a fortran program
that has a module compiled /CHECK=ALL, I get an unresolved reference to
LIB$SIM_TRAP called from FOR$UNDERF from psect _FOR$CODE. This module
resides in LIBRTL2.EXE which is in IMAGELIB.OLB. Even if I explicitly
link against a shareable image with LIBRTL2 in it I get this error. The
only work around is an options file with SYS$LIBRARY:LIBRTL2.EXE/SHARE
explicitly. Has anyone seen this before?

Some of the users here at the HydroVAX get this message occasionally.
It magically goes away when the code is revised heavily. If there
is a better way to get around this, I'd like to know.
