A test-message once in a while doesnt bother me, at least it shows that someone is being responsible and trying to maintain his mail system integrity. However, is there something we can do about Addressee: B8639 Reason: %MAIL-E-NOSUCHUSR, no such user B8639 at node RITA Perhaps only INTERNET info-vax users are seeing this. But this one problem is generating over 65% of my incoming mail traffic the last couple weeks. I really think the only way to deal with this sort of lossage is by punitive measures. The redistribution site that is generating the B8639 site should be removed, even from the master INFO-VAX list at SRI, and even if that means hundreds of people stop getting INFO-VAX. Then those people can do something about, either: a. getting B8639 removed from the lowest-possible-level b. getting JNET site, or whatever, to fix its mailer. Vote? -gjc -------
