We recently installed VMS 4.7 on our 780. We also are testing some novel communications equipment, so perhaps we have too many variables. But one day as I was issuing DCL commands,my keys suddenly had no effect, and another user who just logged in as himself was suddenly attached to my process. I could see his keystrokes echoing on my vt but my keystrokes went to the bitbucket probably. He kindly logged me out and when he relogged in again, his vt was still echoing on mine. I hit BREAK a couple of times and became disconnected. I relogged in as myself and continued normally thereafter. Has anybody else out there noticed such an event? It sounds like your communications equipment is goofing up, especially since it persisted between log-ons.
