[comp.os.vms] Software Tools Users Group: a summary

LLACROIX@carleton.EDU (Les LaCroix) (02/04/88)

The Software Tools Users Group is not dead, after all. Active? I'm not sure,
but I doubt it. I sent them mail a couple months ago and just got a response.
They still distribute tapes - "on e very limited bases (one to two tapes per
year)". (Oops, "bases" is my misspelling.) The address is:

	Software Tools Users Group
	140 Center Street
	El Segundo, CA 90245

Tapes are $80 each, and 14 are available. I won't bother the net with the
details because the software is also probably available through more active
groups. For instance, the VMS implementation is in the DECUS Program Library
and has been shipped on the VAX Sig symposium tape in the past. I understand
that it is now included on the Langauges and Tools SIG tape. The Toys tape
is also supposed to be included on the L&T tape being composed as of the
Fall '87 symposium. I'm not certain about the UNIX implementation, but the
STUG tape is for 4.1BSD so it might be just a bit out of date...

If anyone is really interested in ordering directly from STUG, I can send you
the info (individually).
