Hello,
I am experiencing a problem in an application that I was informed was
recently a hot topic here on INFO-VAX that I, unfortunately, missed. I am
writing a program which accepts file transfer requests from a remote
workstation (NON-DEC product!) and I have the workstation pass a username
and two passwords first. I've been looking at $GETUAI and it it is quite
apparent that I can get the two correct passwords, hashed into INTEGER*4
variables (ForTran), and that I can get the code for the correct encryption
algorithm to hash my two passwords for the comparison. Unfortunately the
encryption system service calls are entirely undocumented and I need to
know how to call the encryption service so that I can confirm that the user
sitting at the workstation is who they say they are. If you don't wish to
