Hi! I have a problem with the installation of Cmu-Tek's TCP/IP-package. I have a feeling that the problem can't be a new one, and problably isn't to hard to solve, but I am very new at VMS so I don't know how to solve it. The problem is as follows: The Cmu-Tek distribution has a driver by the name of TPDRIVER.EXE which vmsinstall places in sys$system, now that isn't a good thing to do. Since we are using VAX/VMS version 4.6 and are running PSI ,we already have a driver by the name of TPDRIVER in sys$system belonging to the PSI- package. Now ,one way to solve this could be to just change the name op Cmu-Tek's driver to something else ,since it is invoked by $ run sys$system:sysgen connect TPA0/NOADAPTER/DRIVER=device:[directory]TPDRIVER I can't see anything wrong with this, but as I said earlier I'm not that good at VMS. Any ideas will be received most thankfully -- Roland PS. I think that it would be a good thing to change the name of the TPDRIVER in the Cmu-Tek distribution to something else DS. ======================================================================== Roland Hedberg,UMDAC,University of Ume ,Sweden BITNET/EARN : RHG@SEUMDC51 INTERNET : roland@umecs.umu.se
