I am trying to port Rich Lamb's dcp package to vms.
I didn't get this from comp.sources.misc.
What I did get was missing the low-level IO routines for vms, and
the host.h file, etc, etc, etc.
I am putting it all together now, and things seem to be going
well... However, I am uncertain of what the behavior of sread
should be. The calling sequence is:
sread(buf, bufsiz, timeout)
Where timeout seems to be 0 or 1.
Timed reads in VMS of 1 second, as I recall, are not enough if
you really want 1 second (2 seconds is required).
If somebody has a working version of dcp for vms, could you send
me your version of sread? Or, if you know what the behavior should
be, could you give me a hint? Please E-mail the response.
