We here at the ANU have a desperate need to drive a TU80 to VAX 11/785
connection over a distance greater than the Digital specified maximum
of 7 metres (22 feet). In particuler we wish to move the drive to about
65 metres (200 feet) from the machine. Has anyone had any experience
with this kind of configuration?, and if so, could you let me know how
you did it. Certainly Digital may be prepared to make a cable, but their
charge will be excessive and they will probably wish to void the maintenance.
